An authentic scene depicting native women. probably Haitian women, washing clothes along a stream of water and others walking carrying baskets on their heads I was in Haiti over 50 years ago, and this was a too common theme. The oil on canvass is signed, but the signature is not too readable, possibly Joel or Doel, and after much research, I couldn't identify it. It is very well done, is unframed, and measures 16 in. long, 12 in. wide and 1 in. deep and is in very good condition.
